Harvard philosophy concentrators have gone on to pursue diverse and rewarding careers in law, finance, consulting, business, internet startups, medicine, journalism, the arts, non-profits, education, and academia (both in philosophy and in other academic disciplines). While the training in clear, systematic writing equips students for a wide range of careers, alumni often remark that their undergraduate study in philosophy was one of the most intellectually rewarding experiences of their lives, and that this—more than any set of argumentative or communicative skills—was its most valuable feature.
