#  Diehl, Hall, and Simmons Receive Commendations for Extraordinary Teaching

 [Sanford Diehl](/people/sanford-diehl), [Ned Hall](/people/edward-j-hall), and [Alison Simmons](/people/alison-simmons) have received “Commendation\[s\] for Extraordinary Teaching” for the 2020 Spring term. This award, offered by the Office of Undergraduate Education, was awarded to instructors whose students reported their extraordinary or exemplary teaching during the sudden transition to online education last semester, and only had 281 recipients out of over 2,500 educators working last semester.

 The Philosophy Department offers its warmest congratulations on this superb achievement!
