#  Gina Schouten's "Liberalism, Neutrality, and the Gendered Division of Labor" (Oxford, 2019) published

 The Department of Philosophy congratulates Professor Gina Schouten on the publication of her new book, *Liberalism, Neutrality, and the Gendered Division of Labor* (Oxford University Press, 2019). Schouten's book engages questions of whether state interventions to subsidize gender egalitarian lifestyles can be defended within a pluralistic, liberal society in which often profound differences exist regarding feminist aims. Schouten argues that they can and "that they can even by the lights of political liberalism, a particularly demanding theory of liberal legitimacy."
