 The Department of Philosophy congratulates [Jen Nguyen](/people/tran-jen-nguyen) for having her article “Leibniz on Place” named as the winner of the Leibniz Society of North America's 2019 [essay competition.](https://leibnizsociety.wordpress.com/essay-contest/) Originally published in *The Leibniz Review,* Nguyen's article argues that "to have a Leibnizian place is to have a point of view. And nothing more."
