Diana Acosta Navas

Diana Acosta-Navas studied Philosophy at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, from which she graduated in 2008. Between 2009 and 2012 she did a Master's program at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. She began her PhD studies at Harvard University in the fall of 2012. She works on issues in the intersection of political philosophy and philosophy of language. Her dissertation comprises three essays that explore the relation between power and speech, and how citizens’ capability to use speech in different ways affects their standing and power as members of society.
