Research interests: early modern philosophy and metaphysics, philosophy of language, epistemology, theories of human and animal cognition, philosophy of mathematics, with special focus on G. W. Leibniz.

Purpose of Harvard Visit: to work with Professor Jeffrey McDonough on Leibniz’s and Descartes’s theories of mathematical praxis, especially on the role they attributed to conceivability, imagining and feigning (fingere) in mathematical discoveries, and on whether their research in mathematics influenced their epistemology and metaphysics.
