My research concerns incarceration law, especially its constitutional and philosophical upshots. Specifically, my dissertation recommends minute and sweeping changes to Eighth Amendment prison conditions jurisprudence with an eye towards empowering sentenced prisoners. I received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Rochester which I transferred to after spending two years in community college at Mt. San Antonio College in Los Angeles.
