Research Interests: Epistemology (esp. evidence, epistemic justification, Knowledge-first epistemology, feminist epistemology, perception, legal epistemology), Philosophy of Science (evidential-support, underdetermination)
Purpose of Harvard Visit: Dr. Giada Fratantonio is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Helsinki as part of the ERC Project “Competence and Success in Epistemology and Beyond”, led by Prof. Maria Lasonen-Aarnio. As part of her research project, Giada is developing a novel knowledge-first evidentialist theory of justification. During her time in Harvard, she will investigate what her theory predicts in paradigmatic as well as suboptimal cases of perception.
