Faculty and affiliates named Walter Channing Cabot Fellows for 2014

Of the nine professors in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences honored as Walter Channing Cabot Fellows for 2014, three have connections to the Department of Philosophy: faculty members Mark Richard and Ned Hall, and affiliated faculty member Gennaro Chierchia of the Department of Linguistics.

The award recognizes distinguished publications by members of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and carries with it an honorarium.

Professor Mark Richard received the award for his recent book Context and the Attitudes: Meaning in Context (Oxford University Press, 2013).

Norman E. Vuilleumier Professor of Philosophy Ned Hall was honored for his book Causation: A User’s Guide (Oxford University Press, 2013).

Haas Foundations Professor of Linguistics Gennaro Chierchia received the award for Logic in Grammar (Oxford University Press, 2013).
