Professor Sean Kelly has been featured in a recent interview with Tech Podcaster Lex Fridman, which is available for viewing here. In the episode, entitled “Existentialism, Nihilism, and the Search for Meaning,” Professor Kelly discusses existentialism as it pertains to manifold topics, such as The Big Lebowski, Dostoyevsky, whether AI can produce art, and the meaning of life.


Sean Kelly is the current Teresa G. and Ferdinand F. Martignetti Professor of Philosophy at Harvard, where he is also a Harvard College Professor. With his wife, Cheryl Kelly Chen (Philosophy DUS), he is Faculty Dean of Dunster House. He is the co-author, with Hubert Dreyfus, of the New York Times bestselling book All Things Shining: Reading the Western Classics to Find Meaning in a Secular Age (2011), and he is currently working on a book for Harvard University Press entitled The Proper Dignity of Human Being
