My primary research interests are moral responsibility, free will, ethics of AI, and applied ethics (esp. environmental ethics). I'm also interested in metaphysics of causation.
I was born in Turkey and am a dual citizen of Turkey and the United States. I earned a BS in Computer Science Teaching from Firat University (Turkey) and a PhD in Philosophy from Syracuse University. Before joining Harvard, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University.
