My primary research interests are causation, moral responsibility, free will, philosophy of AI, and environmental ethics.
I was born in Turkey and am a dual citizen of Turkey and the United States. I earned a BS in Computer Science Teaching from Firat University (Turkey) and a PhD in Philosophy from Syracuse University. Before joining Harvard, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Smith Institute for Political Economy and Philosophy at Chapman University.
