Research Interests: Indian Philosophy (Nyāya, Navya-Nyāya, Buddhism), Philosophy of Language

Lee Ling Ting completed her PhD in Indian Philosophy from Harvard in November, 2024. Between AY 2024 and 2026, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Philosophy at Vassar College, where she taught courses in analytic philosophy and Indian philosophy. Lee Ling is interested in how language can be about the world and where it might fall short. In her research, she draws on contemporary philosophy of language to illuminate debates in classical Indian philosophy about language, mind, and epistemology. She’s also interested in the different starting points Indian philosophers adopted, which led them to formulate certain questions and answer them in ways very different from those of contemporary philosophy of language. Lee Ling is from Kuching on the island of Borneo.
