Research interests: Metaphysics, Social Philosophy, Philosophy of Gender, Philosophy of Race
Quyen Pham received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Southern California in 2024. Her primary interests lie in the intersection between metaphysics and social philosophy. Her current research focuses on foundational metaphysical issues surrounding the nature and structure of social groups, organized collections of people from clubs and teams to families and committees. She is also interested in social categories, such as particular genders and races, as well as artifacts, the objects of our social world, and in how questions about their nature interact with issues about explanation, agency, responsibility, and structural and ontological injustice.
